All services and programs provided from offices in the Regional District of Central Okanagan on KLO Road in Kelowna will be closed Monday, December 26 through Monday, January 2 inclusive.
During this time any emergencies involving Regional District water systems should be directed to 250-868-5299. Payments, business license renewals or new license purchases may be made online at rdco.com/payments. Dog license renewals for 2023 and new license purchases can be made at rdco.com/dogs.

This year, there are no changes to curbside garbage, recycling and yard waste collection through the holiday period as Christmas and New Year’s Day fall on a weekend. The Westside Residential Waste Disposal and Recycling Centre on Asquith Road in West Kelowna will be closed on Sunday, December 25 and Sunday, January 1. It will be open its regular hours Friday, Saturday and Monday those weeks. The North Westside transfer station will be closed Sunday and Monday December 25 - 26 and Sunday, January 1. The Traders Cove transfer station is closed Sunday, December 25 and January 1
The Environmental Education Centre for the Okanagan (EECO) in Mission Creek Regional Park will be closed Saturday, Sunday and Monday, December 24 - 26 and Sunday and Monday January 1 - 2.

Link up with other caregivers, their babies and little ones for weekly walks. Each week we’ll stroll a section of trail. After the walk, we’ll gather inside the EECO for social time and refreshments.

The Okanagan is home to a diversity of wildlife and ecosystems. Join a park interpreter on this series of guided hikes for an insider’s look at our Regional Parks, exploring the trails, history, plants, animals and other unique features that make each park special.

Drop into the EECO each Saturday for a new bat themed STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) activity or craft.

06:30 PM| Mill Creek Regional Park
Join us for a special evening. Come ready to engage all of your senses as you take in the wonder of the forest at night. Look for tracks in the snow, listen for an owl’s call, enjoy hot chocolate, and share stories around a friendship circle. Ice cleats provided. Dress warmly and bring a flashlight or headlamp and a mug.
