Join us as we celebrate trails in regional parks on BC Trails Day! Raid your closets and tickle trunks and wear your favourite festive and fancy hat and be entered for prizes for the most creative hats and outfits! Join the procession of fedoras, sombreros, beanies, bowlers, bonnets, and top hats as we walk a portion of the Mission Creek Greenway during this memorable event! We'll have community exhibitors and festive performers. Kiki the Eco Elf and Trixie the Clown will be walking the trail to put smiles on everyone's faces.
Plan to walk all or a portion of the 6.5 km trail from Lexington Drive to Durnin Road as we tip our hats to trails! You can start the walk at the entrance to the Greenway by the dog park on Lexington Drive and walk up the Greenway towards the EECO or alternately you can start the walk by the EECO at Springfield and Durnin Roads and walk the Greenway towards Lexington. If you choose to walk the entire distance, there is a free shuttle service running from Lexington to Durnin to take you back to your vehicle. There will be regional parks staff and volunteers at both starting points to direct the fun!
Free shuttles at the two trailhead entrances: Lexington Drive and Durnin Road.
Shuttles are not able to transport dogs or bicycles.
Last shuttle departs at 12:30 p.m.
